"After the first glass, you see things as you wish they were. After the second, you see things as they are not. Finally, you see things as they really are, which is the most horrible thing in the world."

great Bomber Basin viewsI hiked up this magnificent peak in the early 2000's. Since there is no name on the map I had taken to calling it Bomber Mountain because of its overlooking that basin. I am glad to see that someone has attached a name to it. I had looked at this peak many times during ascents of Arrow and Whiskey mountains. When I finally summited it, I had only a short time before an approaching storm made me start down. I love the old Glacier Trail. Thanks musicman82 for making a page on this deserving peak.

Great scramble and summitBack in 2001, terrible blisters kept me to the trail during a backpacking trip along the entire Glacier Trail. I wanted to head up to the vicinity of this peak and see Bomber Basin, but it hurt too much to think about.
I am glad Tim and I decided to add this as a bonus to our climb of Arrow Mountain. It was a fun climb with breathtaking views, and now I won't die wondering.

Long tripBob Sihler and I decided to climb this peak after climbing Arrow Mountain earlier in the day. The boulder-hopping/scrambling was a lot more strenuous than it looked like it would be from far away! Fantastic views...
