"So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life."

Hard hike but best views in the valleyOff trail hike, was a bit challenging. Air quality and views were spectacular. The "Monolith" view was other worldly. Fantastic hike. Possibly the best in the park. Bonus points......., NOBODY else was there!

Via the slabsClimbed with Bob, on an aborted attempt at a spring dayhike of Snake Dike. Returned via LeConte Gully. Great fun, even without Snake Dike, although I wouldn't repeat it--the NW Face of Half Dome is a bowling alley at times in spring, and the climb up to the Diving Board via the slabs is unacceptably dangerous at this time IMO.

Up from the slabsThe slabs offer a shorter, but tougher scramble to reach the Diving Board. Doing it in spring can be dangerous however with hard snow on the exit. Trip Report
