"So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life."

Also via FS roadTrotted up Columbia today via the road, which takes you right under the summit. Arrived from Kansas City last night and since I'm spending a few days in Georgetown, thought this would be a good warm-up. Unfortunately, my rental Avenger doesn't have the ground clearance to get past the first steep section of Bard Creek Road, so this ended up being a LONG warm-up hike!
Great weather today, and managed a few good pictures. Although the view from the summit is partially obstructed, there are some good photo opportunities a few hundred feet below to catch Colorado Mines Peak, Eva, and Flora, among others.

Via FS 778Well, I can't say this was the most exciting summit yet of 2010, but it's nice to get out under bluebird, Colorado winter skies and stretch the legs a little. The snow was pretty deep going - good thing we had a big team to break trail.
