"Got tight last night on absinthe and did knife tricks. Great success shooting the knife into the piano. The woodworms are so bad and eat hell out of all furniture that you can always claim the woodworms did it."

Re: StunningThank you for looking and voting. It was an amazing place. The snow made it more dramatic.

Great "Route" page NaderHave a question, do you, by any chance, know the age of the petrifies forest in this area? I am very much fascinated by petrified wood and have visited "Petrified Forest" in Arizona a number of times. Thanks in advance.

Re: GreatThanks Marc,
My guide book talks about "...Chinle formation, a Triassic shale...". Not that I know much geology but I suppose that means it is from the Triassic Period.
I was in Petrified Forest in Arizona in 1994. As I remember, there were huge petrified logs that were very impressive. On Chinle Trail I did not see anything as impressive as in Arizona. Only small pieces of petrified wood.
